The cutter head will mill alot of heads and blocks before sharpening. If need sharpening would send to Storm Vulcan in Texas. If you get one I would recommend the BHJ block tru ficture for it. I also have a cylinder head roll over fixture like in Meax picture I would let go cheap if the one you are looking at doesnt come with one. Brent

They make a mill that has a 14" cutter that can handle 20 cutting teeth and a CBN insert. I run the CBN when I can. The Sunnen mill can do heads and blocks. Rottler also makes a pretty full line of resurfacing equipment. Serdi is another maker of cylinder head equipment. They are the only ones that I know of to currently make a grinding machine.

Phil: I do aluminum heads daily on a 858 Kwik-way grinder using a single point flycutter with either a small diameter round carbide insert or a tool that I made that uses 0 rake triangular carbide inserts that I lap by hand to give a rounded cutting edge but lots of clearence rake on the bottom.

Very nice cutters. From your first post I figured you were working on either the Van Norman or a Storm Vulcan. I have the Storm vulcan 85 with variable speed drive added for head trasit. Slowing the trasit speed way down does a good job on aluminum but takes a long time so I am very interested in how the 4x speed works on aluminun.
